Banner Assembly
Step #1
Begin by placing both breakaway banner pieces flat on a non-abrasive surface. Using a soft surface such as grass or carpet is recommended to avoid any rough or sharp materials that may cause damage to your breakaway banner. Connect the two banner pieces flat in the middle, ensuring that the left piece overlaps the right to create a cohesive design. Firmly press the velcro strips in the middle of both sides of the banner for a secure hold.
Step #2
Now that your banners are connected in the middle, you can insert the (optional) poles into each side of the banner.
Step #3
If your breakaway banner is large, it may require multiple people on each side to handle it properly. Keep the banner upright and taut, ensuring that the poles extend all the way to the top of the banner. This will prevent any sagging in the middle and is the recommended approach.
Step #4
Now that your breakaway banner is assembled and pulled tight, your team is ready for the grand entrance moment of your next big game!
Pole Assembly
Should you opt for poles, you will receive two poles that consist of three 36" sections each, totaling 108" when assembled.
Step #1
Take two of your poles and, connect them end to end, rotate them 180 degrees until the button-locking mechanism locks into place.
Step #2
Connect the remaining final piece the same way.
Step #3
Insert the connected poles into the 4.5" pole pocket seam until it reaches the top of the banner's edge. Use the banner clips at the top of the pole pockets to hold the banner in place.
Step #4
Repeat the process on the opposite side of the banner.
Step #5
It's finally time for the moment we've all been waiting for! This step requires two people to use poles to lift the banner vertically and tighten the design in the middle. Have your team stand on the back side and announce their name to pave the way for cheer team members to make their grand entrance, shocking and exciting the crowd!
Additional Accessories
Carabiner
Carabiners pass through each one of the grommets on the banner. Then, clip the carabiner onto a suitable anchor point, such as nylon ropes, railing, hook and loop, or supporting structure. Use multiple carabiners evenly spaced along the top or all four corners of the breakaway banner to distribute the load and provide stability.

Zip ties and traditionally used to attach banners typically into fencing, poles, nylon ropes, hook and loop fasteners, or supporting structures.

People stationed on either side of the entrance or pathway hold the poles to keep the banner taut and level. As the team passes through, the force applied by the players breaks the banner away from the velcro strips, enabling them to burst through easily.
Are the poles included?
You have the option to include two aluminum poles in your order. Each pole consists of three 36" sections with spring-loaded buttons that interlock when assembled, creating a total length of 108".
Can I use different poles each time?
The pole pockets are designed to enable easy insertion and removal of your own poles or dowels, giving you the flexibility to change them as frequently as you desire. However, it is recommended that you take out the poles from your banners when storing them away, especially when they are not in use.
What size are breakaway banners?
